Sensor Networks for Well-Being

Project Summary

Crucial to the wide scale deployment of health monitoring systems is the development of extremely low cost, autonomous sensors which are capable of a variety of monitoring functions, require little if any local power, and wirelessly interconnect in an ad-hoc fashion to create a local communications network.

This project is producing a range of prototype sensors which embody these and other key features, the objective being to create a demonstration health care sensor-network which can be trialled with consenting subjects in a UK local authority
