About Me

Fang Wang is a research scientist in the Pervasive ICT Research Centre of BT Group CTO. She obtained a PHD degree in artificial intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, and a MSc and BSc in computer science in China. She previously worked as an assistant professor in China before joining BT in 2000. Her research interests include software agents, cognitive neuroscience, and distributed computing.

My work

Some of the projects I have been working on are:

  • DIET, a European collaborative project focusing on the development of lightweight, scalable and adaptive multi-agent systems.
  • NEXUS, a secure, robust and resilient middleware for real-time data and information fusion within an open, heterogeneous and dynamic environment.
  • iMS, an intelligent Meeting Scheduler that flexibly schedule meetings according to user preferences for a large number of distribute users.
