Data Fusion Sensor Networks for Well-being Monitoring Applications

Project Summary

Military personnel can be subjected to many different aggressive environmental and working conditions. These factors and other medical conditions may lead to degradation in well-being that may bring about a reduction in physical and mental performance. This project will consider physiological and environmental parameters and fuse them with longitudinal human activity data to create a system that will yield outputs that are directly related to subtle changes of human functioning over time. These outputs could be used to drive workflow and intelligent decision support systems. Such systems could also be used to dynamically adjust environmental conditions, raise appropriate alerts and initiate medical care.
