About me
Cefn is a Senior Research Scientist in the Future Technologies Group in the Pervasive ICT Research Centre of BT Group CTO. He has a background in philosophy, nature-inspired computing, peer to peer computing, marketing and management. In this role Cefn undertakes patent creation, exploitation and contract research in self-organising and self-adaptive systems, especially peer to peer computing, ad-hoc networking, information retrieval and human interface design.
My work
Some of the projects I have been working on are:
- DIET, a European collaborative project. I have been the main developer of the ARC layer of the DIET platform, a lightweight, scalable and adaptive multi-agent system.
- SWAN, a fully decentralised look-up system
- The Wand, a novel form of pointing device
- ShoppingGarden, a serendipitous way of browsing
