Identity Enablers
The goal of Identity Enablers programme is to develop the new, connectivity-agnostic approach to identities that is needed to seamlessly link identity, authentication, trust and entitlement in a convergent environment. The programme combines social perception of identities with technologies of their authentication.
Identity Enablers explore pitfalls of the duality of our approach to identity. On one side, the proliferation of low-cost, almost disposable identities, fuelled by the Internet, decreases usability. On the other side, cross-referencing of identities and the potential disclosure of the true self endangers privacy. However, both sides offer exciting opportunities when it comes to new forms of communication.
