Frank Scahill
Biography
Frank Scahill joined BT's Research Department in 1989 after graduating in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Brunel University. He spent the first half of his career researching statistical speech recognition algorithms for interactive voice and multimodal services. He is currently a Principal Researcher within the Mobility Research Centre investigating technology enablers for fixed-mobile convergence services.
Frank is an active contributor to industry standards and was a previous editor of the W3C Pronunciation Lexicon Markup specification, he currently leads BT's contributions on converged services within the Fixed Mobile Convergence Alliance.
Frank is a Chartered Engineer and member of the IET.
