Andrew Garrett

Biography

Andrew Garrett graduated from Solent University with a BEng(Hons) Electronic Engineering in 1996, and joined BT in October 1996 as a Contractor working in a support role for projects that were undertaken by BT Telconsult at BT Research Labs.

In December 1997 he moved to the ART OA Support team. The team was responsible for the day-to-day running and support of all the computer platforms used by BTexact Technologies.

In June 1998 he was made a permanent BT Employee, still working for the OA Team, now entitled ART DTS Team. In September 1999 joining the Emerging Technologies Lab Andrew was responsible for investigating / demonstrating many different types wireless communications.

In April 2004 he joined the Mobility Research Centre continuing the investigation into the wireless communications arena with regard to integration and further development of technologies and products.
