Mobility Research Centre
The Mobility Research Centre conducts world-leading research and development into all aspects of mobile networks, including:
- Mathematical modelling: graph-theoretic aspects, complex systems approach, distributed algorithms
- Networks (including WiMAX, WLAN, 3G and Bluetooth)
- Fixed-Mobile Convergence
- Mobile Security
- Prototype mobile devices
- Mobile services and Middleware
- Spectrum capacity and optimization
- Resource utilisation, access and interference modelling
We are also charged with running the 21st Century mobility testbed and are involved in European Union (EU) funded collaborative projects (e.g., Ambient Networks).
We work with industry partners, either directly or via the EU-funded collaborative programs, and with a number of universities on strategic research projects.
