Malaysian Research Centre
About Malaysian Research Centre, BT Innovate
The ideas of humanity have always been an evolutionary process of action coupled with an inventive and creative ounce of thought. It is that spark of ingenuity that is the genesis of an invention or theory and the effort to realize that idea into reality. Innovation and R&D are imperative ingredients in BTMM’s corporate strategy.
Malaysian Research Centre started its odyssey as a research lab in August 2004 concentrating on the mobility and wireless domains in tandem with BT’s 21 Century Network.
Located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysian Research Centre functions as a catalyst, bringing together local pockets of fine researchers with substantial amount of industry exposure, particularly in the field of telecommunications - both globally and locally.
Headed by Dr.Hiew Pang Leang, the Malaysian Research Centre, also known as BT Multimedia Sdn Bhd is now a global R&D network that is anchored by our Mobility Research Centre (MRC) in Adastral Park, United Kingdom.
Malaysian Research Centre is orchestrated by two core groups known as Research (Mobility and Broadband Application) and Industry Partnership.
